Shining Star Luncheon Recognizes Vicky Stropes

S ummer Santa was very well represented at this year’s Shining Stars luncheon, held on September 21^st at the Hurst Convention Center. Among the 35 outstanding area volunteers honored this year was our very own, Vicky Stropes.

Vicky is an asset to every charitable endeavor she undertakes. In 2013, knowing that she was about to become an empty-nester, she was convinced that Summer Santa was the place to channel her energy and generous giving spirit. She agreed to join the Board and has been an extremely valuable member ever since.

Vicky is currently the Summer Santa Secretary and also does an outstanding job as the Fundraising Committee Chairperson. Both roles take a significant amount of time, but Vicky is always willing to help with other activities. For example, she has been one of the spearheading influences in our newly designed website and logo.
