Food Saved Me
Summer Santa was privileged this year to have a first-hand experience with the value and kindness of Food Saved Me!
Summer Santa serves a varied group of children every year from all over Northeast Tarrant County. The names and faces change but the common needs remain the same; shelter, FOOD, clothes, education and some childhood experiences.
Please note where FOOD fits in right after shelter. As you know, not all food is created equal and should be approached with nutrition in mind as a common goal! Most children try anything to stop hunger pains. They can be taught about the nutrition of food and that it does not have to necessarily cost more! Good nutrition can increase brain function, physical development, elevate immunity and stimulate psychosocial care.
Food Saved Me is the Presenting Sponsor of the 2022 – 2023 Summer Santa year and shall teach us all about nutrition as an integrated value for the children we serve!
